B&V and JVs get lion's share of Thames work

Black & Veatch (B&V) along with three joint ventures Optimise, MGJV and GBM are the four beneficiaries of Thames Water's base load contracts to improve and maintain its ageing water pipes, sewers and other facilities over the next five years. The four contracts are worth ￡1.3B in total over the next five years.Commenting on the decision to award base load deals, Thames Water chief executive Martin Baggs said: "We've challenged all our contractors to deliver the best possible value for our 13.6 million customers' money. Instead of letting lots of small contracts tomultiple contractors, we're working with a select group of leading organisations to deliver the base load of our five-year investment programme.
