South West Water has discovered its largest ever fatberg in a Sidmouth sewer near the seafront. The 64-metre fatberg is the biggest ever discovered in Devon and is thought to be one of the largest found so close to the sea. "I saw it and thought: 'What on earth?' It was completely unexpected," Charlie Ewart, who discovered the fatberg, told the national media. "It's really eerie in that bit of the sewer and it does look like something out of a horror scene, all congealed and glossy and matted together with all kinds of things."
