Influence of fusion welding on the quality of cast iron welded joints

In the field of cast iron welding a great deal of experience and knowledge concerning their special applications is held by individual companies. Through the medium of a questionnaire campaign among iron foundries, welding filler manufacturers and cast iron processing companies and by an evaluation of the specialist literature, this extensive and multi-faceted knowledge has been collected, structured and documented in the form of a database. To correlate component-related and component-independent data, reference welds were also carried out on the cast iron materials GG-25, GGG-40 and GGG-60.
