Welding equipment for reinforcing the edges of corrugated walls of the casings of transformers of a new generation of TMG series

The tendency for the replacement of the containers of oilrnpower and distribution transformers, fitted with tubularrnradiators–coolers, by a new design of hermetic containersrnof the TMG series with a number of important advantages:rnlarge cooling surface, smaller metal requirement, lowerrnoperating costs, has existed in Russian and foreignrnpower engineering for many years. The box structurernof these casings includes the corrugated sidewalls, thernbottom end and the top part. These casings have higherrntechnological properties and require a smaller amountrnof labour when produced in flow production and usingrnautomated welding operations. The total volume ofrnwelding operations in the manufacture of these systems hasrnbeen shortened many times, and the operations are quiternefficiently automated. The production of these casingsrnin the Russian Federation is delayed by the shortage ofrnequipment for the production of corrugated walls.
