Changes at the top - New Chief Executive shapes TWI's next decade

This year's change of leadership at TWI -The Welding Institute from Cambridge/ UK marks the start of a new chapter for the world-renowned engineering, materials and joining technology organisation as Dr Christoph Wiesner takes over as the new Chief Executive Officer. Christoph's distinguished track record includes 10 years as Group Manager for TWI's Structural Integrity business before he joinied the executive board as Director of Research and Technology in 2004. Re cently he unveiled his vision for the next decade. It's an ambitious plan involving a significant expansion of the resources avai lable to TWI Industrial Members on a glo bal basis, namely a considerable increase in its expert staff and growth of its cutting-edge facilities, resulting in a doubling of turnover.
