Steels manufactured by means of powder metallurgy (PM steels) have become established in various branches of industry in the meantime. There is a wide portfolio of materials which can be processed by means of powder metallurgy. The possibility of manufacturing near-net-shape semi-finished products is opening up economic advantages.
