Every year the SAWE holds our annual Conference on Mass Properties Engineering. 2013 was no exception, and this issue of the Weight Engineering Journal is dedicated to providing our membership a glimpse into the recently concluded conference at St. Louis's magnificent Union Station Hotel. The conference is the culmination of work that started years ago and presents information that our presenters, paper writers, vendors, and sponsors began long before the conference started. With that in mind, it is certainly not too early to be thinking about future conferences, be they in a year or even farther out. If you are thinking of an idea for a paper, have a product for which you would like to have wider recognition, work for a company with involvement in mass properties, are a student working on a project - these are all excellent vehicles to get involved in a conference, and travel to some excellent venues.
