摘要

Matt Noyes is a television meteorologist in Boston, Massachusetts, one of the country's top media markets. A tall, affable guy with a passion for all things weather, Noyes has risen up the ranks from stints in Syracuse and Binghamton, New York, to New England Cable News, where he is now part of the weekday morning news team. Yet, until recently, Noyes did not see the value in obtaining a seal of approval from either the American Meteorological Society or the National Weather Association. Many prospective and practicing television meteorologists once viewed obtaining a broadcast seal from one of the two organizations as an important demonstration of proficiency in meteorological and communication skills, and as a prerequisite for getting on the air and moving up in the broadcast meteorology world.
