The 2008 Weatherwise Photo Contest

Many of the top photographs entered into the 2008 Weatherwise Photo Contest were featured at the 10-day, Weather As Art photography exhibit at The National Press Club in Washington, D.C. This year the annual Weatherwise competition drew more than 200 entries from amateur photographers, depicting a range of stunning weather phenomena—from electrifying storms, tornadoes, and fire whirls to magnificent cloudscapes, rainbows, and ice formations. Weatherwise's prestigious panel of judges selected about a dozen photographs that captured some of the most breathtaking and unusual moments in weather.
