September temperatures were near average in British Columbia. Other provinces and the Yukon Territory in western Canada were 1 to 2℃ (2 to 4°F) cooler than normal. Ontario was slightly cooler than average in western areas and near average in the east. Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces had monthly means of 1 to 3°C (2 to 5°F) warmer than long-term normals. The Northwest Territories and Nuna-vut recorded near normal temperatures; some monthly means at high-latitudes locations were 2 and 3°C (4 to 5°F) warmer than normal.
