Orange County Begins Expansion of Groundwater Replenishment System

The Orange County Water District (OCWD) recently broke ground on a project to expand its Groundwater Replenishment System, Located at the OCWD Advanced Water Purifica-tion Facility in Fountain Valley, CA, the $142.7 million project will create an additional 31,000 acre-feet per year of new water supplies to serve north and central Orange County. Once completed, the AWFFs total production will reach 103,000 AW, enough water for 850,000 people.
