Controversy over Olympic moorings

On 3rd July the London waterways from Little Venice to Commercial Road Lock, and from Limehouse Basin to Lea Bridge Road, went into 'security lockdown' until 10th September, and only boaters who had paid the required mooring licence were permitted to remain. The IWA was organising the moorings, and eight volunteer boats acted as 'moorings wardens' for different sections of the area.
