Lisle and Margaret Hobson were long time boaters when they decided to find a new boat. Not wanting to pay what seemed extortionate prices for a bespoke craft, they hit upon an unusual, but pragmatic compromise. The shell, ordered as a basic sailaway, would be fitted out by professionals but with Lisle and Margaret contributing where they could to keep costs down. As Lisle has connections with the Erewash Canal, the shell was delivered to Sheet Stores Basin, under the watchful eye of Paul Berber, the owner of the boatyard. Much of the fit-out is by Paul Garner, who has fitted a number of boats that WW has reviewed over the years, and he was amenable to a flexible approach.
