TITFORD POOLS SCULPTURE UNVEILING

The Birmingham Canal Navigation Society unveiled a new towpath sculpture at its annual autumn rally, held this year at Titford Pools. The bronze artwork, called 'Rock Driller', commemorates the Nine Apostles colliery, which once operated at the site and used the canal to move its coal. It ceased to mine in 1904.
