It's not unusual for people, particularly at the beginning of their careers, to feel they are supposed to know more and be able to do more than they are currently able to. In reality often we do not recognise or acknowledge the immense talent and knowledge that we do have, even as less experienced professionals, and encouragement and support can go a long way to raising younger people's confidence and willingness to participate fully in all aspects of professional "life". What can get left out when people are hired for a job -wherever they are on the career ladder - is that they will need some form of guidance and support along the way.
