WA Inquiry Reports on Public Access to Drinking Water Sources

The use of public drinking water sources and catchments for both recreational activities and drinking water is untenable, according to the findings of an inquiry by the Legislative Council Standing Committee on Public Administration in Western Australia.rnThe Committee found that allowing greater public access to catchments significantly increases the risk to public health in WA. For these reasons, the Committee could not support an increase in recreational access to drinking water dams and catchments.
