摘要

In this study, a full-scale membrane bioreactor (MBR) was monitored over a period exceeding six months. Microorganism log removal values (LRV) were monitored during two common chemical cleaning modes using sodium hypochlorite, chemically enhanced backwash and clean-in-place. Overall, the impact to LRV for viruses, bacteria and protozoa due to cleaning was negligible with respect to normal system variability. High permeate chlorine residual post chemically enhanced backwash was noted. The findings of this study will facilitate risk management for MBR systems used for water recycling.
