Vitens and partner Royal Haskoning have developed a new process aimed at reducing methane emissions from groundwater-sourced drinking waterlreatment to zeroand capturing the gas for beneficial use DOEKE SCHIPPERS and ROB SCHOTSMAN discuss this joint venture and its application on-site at Vitens' Spannenburg drinking water facility, the largest groundwater treatment plant in the Netherlands.
