WABAG Vienna is to supply the electro-mechanical systems for a new wastewater treatment plant on Kish Island in the Persian Gulf. The new plant will have a capacity of 10,400m7d and secure wastewater treatment for the island's roughly 20,000 inhabitants. The plant is to operate using the biological sequencing batch reactor activated sludge process and will dispose over a disinfection phase for advanced treatment that will allow the reuse of the treated wastewater.
