Susta inability research in South Africa

A pilot project to promote sustainable use of water and other natural resources is currently taking place at a large secondary school in rural South Africa, close to the border with Mozambique. Sincobile High School, with 37 teachers and nearly 1000 students, is located in a very hot and dry area of Mpumalanga province.When the so-called Inkomati CMA Cooperation Programme began the school was served with a poorly functioning water supply and highly unsatisfactory, unhygienic sanitation.
