Report released on human resource capacity gaps

IWA's study into human resource capacity gaps has been released, called 'An Avoidable Crisis: WASH Human Resource Capacity Gaps in 15 Developing Economies'. The human resources capacity gap study was initiated in 2008 under the funding of DFID(UK Department for International Development),' explains Kirsten de Vette, IWA Programmes Officer. 'An international reference group developed assessment methods to assess human resource capacity gaps at the national level. This was tested and piloted in five countries and the revised methodology was applied in another ten countries. So the synthesis report brings everything together into one place.'
