摘要

I have had a couple of e-mails this year about why I call this column "The Well Guy." While I was searching for a name, I went to a service call and the lady answering the door yelled to her husband that "the well guy" was here. That incident sealed the deal for the column since it was already on the list for consideration. Well, where did the year 2004 go? It just seems like time is moving at a faster rate now than ever before. The drought still continues out here in the Southwest. More and more people keep moving into this area despite the bad news about the drought. We are in the Sonoran Desert and when I was young this part of the country was dry like it is today, so it seems normal to me. It was the wet period we came out of a few years ago that was abnormal. Still, developers regularly divide large parcels of land into small subdivisions.
