SEEKING A BETTER WAY

As I walked through a relative's new home, I noticed a deep container in the sink that was capturing excess water when dishes were rinsed before being put in the dishwasher. As I continued my tour, I entered one of the bathrooms and noticed a bucket at the front of the shower that was obviously capturing excess water as well. I had to say something. "I really applaud your efforts to save water. I wish more people were like you. How are you reusing it?" I was told the greywater is used on the plants, vegetables, and herbs that dot the property. The house is in the West, so I assumed the water conservation was related to a drought-although they are great ideas for anyone, anywhere, anytime.
