In January 2006 a man doing bottled water deliveries in Union County, FL, apparently had not had enough sleep. Alvin Wilkerson, 31, of Jacksonville, FL, had been awake for 34 hours, except for a nap. What followed was an accident that left seven children dead and three hospitalized after his truck hit the back of a car, which was then pushed into a school bus. Wilkerson had been on an 85-mile trip transporting bottled water in a tractor-trailer from High Springs, FL, to Jacksonville.
