Water-Right is a family-owned water treatment manufacturer which started in 1959 when founder Glenn Gruett started supplying equipment to Wisconsin's plumbing trade. The company flourished because of its use of man-rnade zeolite crystals in equipment to treat rural Midwestern water, much of which contained hardness, high amounts of iron, and manganese, and in some cases had low pH.rnIn the 1960s, Water-Right used new polystyrene resin for city water applications and a zeolite crystal media manufactured by Arizona Minerals, a division of Culligan, for rural waters, where multiple water problems usually existed.
