摘要

The desire to maintain the water quality, sanitary management of receiving tanks and to improve the water supply service has caused the practice of direct-connection water supply to spread. We have studied a direct connection water supply system experimentally by using a booster pump installed on the service pipe for feeding buildings of up to ten stories. The experiment covered evaluation of the distribution piping capacity, booster capacity soft start and stop function of the booster on the suction side and pressure tank function on the booster suction side etc. As a result, the direct-connection water supply system employing booster units have been evaluated as technically feasible.
