摘要

The authors have presented an interesting approach for enhancing biomass granulation, by natural ionic polymer additives, for the treatment of low-strength wastewater in UASB reactor. However, some of the assumptions made with respect to granule size and experimental observations in the paper may invalidate its engineering application. It would benefit the readers in enhancing granulation, if the authors would address some of the points discussed below.
