House Appropriators Advance FY17 Spending Bill Despite EPA Cuts

The bill would set EPA's funding for the year at $7.98 billion, a $164 million cut from its current $8.14 billion and also $291 million less than President Obama's request for $8.27 billion in FY17, while cutting off funding to develop or implement many of the agency's major air, water, climate and waste rules.
