摘要

Several groups representing small businesses, law professors, and wetlands scientists are all filing legal briefs defending the scientific and regulatory basis for EPA's Clean Water Act (CWA) jurisdiction rule, backing the Obama-era rule that President Trump has opposed and that the new administration is likely to stop defending in court. Shortly after Trump took office Jan. 20, the White House website was updated to include details of the 45 th president's "America First Energy Plan," in which he vows to eliminate "harmful and unnecessary policies" including the CWA rule - also known as the Waters of the United States rule - and the Climate Action Plan greenhouse gas standards for power plants. The site says this will ease burdens on the energy sector and boost wages more than $30 billion over the next seven years.
