EPA Seeks Nominees For SAB Panel To Review Data On PFAS Water Goals

EPA is calling for nominations to fill a scientific advisory panel that will review draft documents analyzing health effects data to be used in deriving EPA's health-based drinking water goals as it develops an enforceable cleanup standard for the two most studied per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). In a Federal Register notice slated to be published June 30, EPA requests nominations for scientific experts to sit on a special PFAS review panel of the agency's Science Advisory Board (SAB) in order to review draft documents being developed to support the agency's drinking water regulation for perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA).
