Information, Infrastructure and Environment: What is our Water Legacy?

The BC Branch of the CWRA was pleased to host the 63rd Annual Conference of the Canadian Water Resources Association in Vancouver this summer. The conference was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Vancouver from June 15 to 18, 2010. Investments in science, monitoring, infrastructure and watershed management can create a legacy of understanding, healthy ecosystems and robust economics in a watershed. The conference theme of Information, Infrastructure & Environment: What is our Water Legacy? focused our thoughts on how we collect information, how we use it to make decisions, and what we are leaving behind as a legacy. The conference attracted 296 delegates, including 113 new or reinstated members and 44 students.
