摘要

Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) gravity dams are advantageous under the tropical conditions in Southeast Asia compared to conven tional gravity dams. An optimised dam design and construction se quence planning including the intentional overtopping of the RCC during the rainy season contribute to cost savings for the river diver sion and time and cost savings for the overall hydropower project. Quality benefits and a further contribution to the project economy are obtained through an optimum interaction between the RCC con cept and methodology and the according RCC mix design.
