PROFIL VOD KE KOUPANÍ (a bathing water profile)

Escherichia coli is a very good and highly specific indicator of water quality, indicating faecal pollution. During the quantitative detection of E. coli it is necessary to follow strictly the method prescribed, with the respect to the precision of the detection. The results of detection of E. coli in the year of 2007 (100 profiles of state monitoring network, 12 samples per year) were processed. From the results obtained, the value limit of 25 cfu/ml was proposed. In the case of using the arithmetic mean for the evaluation of results, 58% of the profiles met the proposed value limit, in the case of geometric means and average values it was 82%, and in the case of using the percentile P95, it was 28% of them. In the third of the profiles studied, the relative standard deviation was higher than 150%. That is - mainly in the case of smaller streams, caused by changes of the flow during wet weather.%V roce 2006 byla přijata směrnice Evropského parlamentu a Rady 2006/7/ES týkající'' se řízení jakosti vod ke koupání.
