Natural coagulant offers alternative for algae removal

Nature comes to the rescue to help remove algae from freshwater. Researchers from the University of Extremadura in Badajoz, Spain, examined four species of algae - Chlorella, Microcystis, Oocystis, and Scenedesmus - found in freshwater reservoirs and the extent to which tannin-based coagulants can effectively remove these species from water.
