Four Themes Emerge at WEFTEC® 2019

WEFTEC always covers the entire range of water sector topics, but the technical programming and events can be sorted in several different ways. The WEFTEC Online Planner — visit www.weftec.org/ WEFTECmobile to access it — sorts sessions and events by Focus Area, which typically collects things by an area of practice or a specific audience. However, WEFTEC 2019 also features four distinct major themes that deserve a great deal of attention in the water sector today. The themes that have emerged this year are Workforce, Resilience, Water-Food-Energy Nexus, and One Water. The descriptions below provide a brief synopsis of why these themes were chosen. The sample schedules offer a cross-section of what the program offers through the lens of these themes.
