Dear Readers, Whilst the majority of Australian councils and waste authorities have had significant success in diverting waste from landfill through residential recycling programs, and more recently, residential greenwaste collection and processing programs, the amount of waste still being disposed of in the nation's landfills provides a stark reminder of the challenges that lay ahead.
