Situated in northeast Cao Bang Province, Trung Khanh District borders China along 62 kilometers, with Po Peo Border Gate in Ngoc Khe Commune and Dam Thuy Border Gate in Dam Thuy Commune. In the implementation of the resolutions made by the 16th Congress of the District Party Committee, Trung Khanh has recorded important achievements in all aspects. It has gradually shifted the agricultural and rural economic structure towards commodity production by ensuring food safety and transforming the composition of domestic animals and crops based on the local climatic and soil advantages. The district has invested more than VND20 billion for irrigation development, thereby increasing the irrigated area/cultivation area ratio to 75per cent.
