Vietnam Targets to Call US$61 Billion of FDI in 5 years

Vietnam has set plan to call total estimated US$61 billion of FDI in the category of national projects calling for foreign investment in the period of 2006 -2010. In late September, the Prime Minister issued a category of national projects calling for foreign investment in the period of 2006 - 2010, with 163 projects in total. This is important projects approved in investment policy. In the announced list, total capital from foreign investment for the above projects is estimated at over US$61 billion. This is an open figure, because many projects enumerate total needed investment capital in the category.
