In order to build an effective administrative base and a clear business and investment environment, Can Tho city has continued administrative innovations, applying democratic regulation in all levels and branches. In 2007 Can Tho has carried out administrative management effectively based on ISO: 9001:2000 status in the Departments of Investment and Planning, Traffic and Public works, Natural Resources and Environment, Trade, Finance, Construction, and Telecommunication. The city people's committee guided a model of one-door procedures at Chau Van Lien district, O Mon order to take the experience and expand it to other local areas. Besides, the city launched movements to improve the competence of state officials, for students to carry out tasks, and to practice economy.
