Vietnam CEOs Should further Improve Professional Skills

The CEO (Chief Executive Officer) Club will hold a conference titled "Vietnamese CEO & Global Integration" in HCM City on December 1, 2008. Dr Vu Tien Loc, President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and CEOs have discussed this issue. According to Dr Vu Tien Ixc, CEOs have made great contributions to national socioeconomic development over the years. However, CEOs' role has not been well-defined. Moreover, cooperation among CEOs has not been paid much attention. Vietnam officially became a member of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in early 2007. The country has been trying to improve its business and investment environment so investors feel more secure when doing business here. In global integration, CEOs should further improve their professional skills as well as actively contribute to the improvement of the local investment environment. "I hope the HCM City CEO Club will launch more activities in the upcoming time to boost cooperation and relations among CEOs, so they can contribute more to the development of the city and the whole country," Loc said.
