Japan to Increase ODA for Small Projects in Vietnam

Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam, Mitsuo Sakaba, said the Government of Japan is considering the increase in the number of official development assistance (ODA)-funded projects to Vietnam in the coming time.rnHe said one of the reasons for the rise is the efficiency and direct impacts of this kind of projects on the people.rn"At present, small-scaled ODA projects only account for 0.3 per cent of Japan's total ODA capital granted by the Japanese Government. As far as I know this figure is too small to the real demand in Vietnam," said Ambassador Mitsuo Sakaba.
