WE Americans love our cars and the freedom to hit the road to wherever -whenever the need to get out of town strikes. However, that love is fickle and fleeting when high gasoline prices put the pinch on pocket-books. In the US, the average national gasoline price rose two cents last week to $3.19 per gallon, matching a seven-year high last seen at the beginning of August, according to auto club AAA.
