Heritage hunts for Tano basin oil partner

PRIVATELY owned Heritage Oil is on a quest to secure a partner to drill two exploration wells offshore Ghana, targeting more than 400 million barrels of recoverable oil close to existing fields in the prolific Tano basin. Heritage - which was acquired by Qatar-based Energy Investments Global in 2014 - has a 45% non-operating stake in the small Offshore South West Tano (OSWT) block and aims to start a drilling campaign in the second half of 2022, although the licence expires on 21 July 2023.
