CNOOC Petroleum Europe is preparing to spud imminently the second appraisal well at its Glengorm discovery in the UK central North Sea after confirming the previous well has been plugged and abandoned. Borr Drilling's jack-up Prospector 5 has now moved to the location of the Glengorm Central well, in Block 22/2lc-C, which is "expected to spud shortly", a CNOOC Petroleum Europe spokesman confirmed. It follows unsuccessful drilling at the Glengorm South well, located in Block 22/21C-13, which was revealed in April.
