HOUSTON-BASED Talos Energy is facing yet more uncertainty about the unitisation process for its 2017 Zama discovery offshore Mexico after state-run Pemex disclosed results of a third-party audit that conflicted with an earlier estimate by Netherland, Sewell & Associates. Discovered by Talos at a water depth of 165 metres in Mexico's Sureste basin, Zama was the first offshore well to be drilled by a private operator following Mexico's market-opening 2013-2014 energy sector reforms.
