TWO yards in China and South Korea are going head-to-head in the race to land a lucrative deal from Danish contractor Cadeler to build up to two large offshore wind farm installation vessels that will be capable of transporting five mega-turbines. China's Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry and Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering of South Korea are in the running for the engineering, procurement and construction prize for one firm vessel order worth $300 million, according to Asian yard sources, with the former seen as heading the race.
