Subsea 7 And Simply Blue in floating wind pact

OFFSHORE contractor Subsea 7 has hatched a joint venture with Irish renewable energy developer Simply Blue Energy to develop a 200 megawatt floating wind array in the North Sea off Scotland. The project, called Salamander, has been launched ahead of the ScotWind offshore wind auction, which has survived delays and an emergency review by the Scottish authorities and is to begin taking bids on acreage later this year.
