RELATIONS between China and Iran appear to be deepening with an agreement that would see massive Chinese investments in Iran's infrastructure in return for Iran ensuring sufficient oil supply to the world's second-largest energy consumer. Few details were immediately available but the New York Times reported that the plan put forth last Saturday during Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to Tehran resembles an earlier draft agreement calling for China to invest some $400 billion in Iran over the next 25 years.
