Murphy wins more time for Australian Bight data

US independent Murphy Oil has been given more time to reprocess seismic data covering its offshore acreage in the Ceduna sub-basin in the Great Australian Bight. Exploration of the Ceduna sub-basin has faced public backlash, with the pristine waters off South Australia's coast a breeding ground for the endangered southern right whale and also a feeding area for blue whales, humpback whales, orcas and sea lions.
