FTC fine for Daewoo

SOUTH Korean offshore and marine contractor Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering has been fined by the nation's Fair Trade Commission (FTC) for violating fair trade practices with its sub-contractors. Daewoo has been fined 15.3 billion won ($13.8 million) for mistreating sub-contractors, including getting them to accept work priced at below-labour cost, the FTC said.
